1. The American Express Red Card
The Red Card is part of a Global Economic Initiative aimed at fighting AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria. Every time you spend you do the (RED) thing. And to keep things super simple the donation that goes to support (RED) is called REDmoney. Here's how it works: When you spend up to £5,000 in any year, we transfer 1% of that spend to Global Fund-financed programs in Africa which positively impact the lives of women and children affected by HIV/AIDS.
Over £5,000 of spend a year and we increase the REDmoney rate to 1.25% for the amount above the threshold. To get things moving we'll also give the Global Fund £5 of REDmoney when you use your Card in the first month.
