The first time you sell gift card(s), you will be asked for a valid credit or debit card, which will be used to verify your name and billing address. Now you can get started with buying, selling, or trading your gift card.

Buying Gift Cards

At Plastic Jungle you can search for a particular merchant, category, or card value. You can also search by the most recently added, highest value, lowest value, biggest discount. Your search results will give you the resulting merchant name(s), card value, price that it is currently available for, and the percentage discount you will receive. It will also indicate whether the card is available for sale, trade, or offer (you can make an offer to the seller). For example, you could purchase a $100 Bath & Body Works gift card for just $87.

Selling Gift Cards

You have two options when selling your gift card: Cash in Now (cash offer) or List in Marketplace (trade your card). If you choose Cash Now, you will need to provide the card balance and then a cash offer will be presented to you. If you accept the offer Plastic Jungle will pay you for your gift card. Simply mail in the gift card and after it has been verified, a check will be issued to you within 48 hours. If you choose List in Marketplace, you have the option of selling, or trading you card, or a combination. If selling the card you can list if you want to discount the card or if you want the buyer to make an offer. Trading options let you choose the merchants and categories you are willing to trade. Plastic Jungle will charge you, the Seller or Trader, a commission of 10% of the card sale price only when you complete a Sale or Trade.

Trading Gift Cards

When trading your gift card, Plastic Jungle’s search option lets you search for cards to trade by either merchant or by the name of the merchant you are trying to trade. You can also indicate what merchants you are willing to trade your gift card by category. You have a number of options from which to choose. Plastic Jungle verifies and guarantees the balance on each and every card. Plastic Jungle will charge you a commission of 10% of the card sale price only when you complete a Trade.
